“The Bees Debris” in Laznica, also known as the “Krš ku albina” in the Vlach language, was built on a hill where one can discern the remnants of human activity from the Eneolithic, Late Antique, and Early Byzantine periods. There are indications that this fortification was inhabited even in the Early Middle Ages.
The excavations were carried out in two campaigns – in 2006, under the leadership of Dušan Mrkobrad, and in 2007, under the leadership of Dragan Jacanović. On this occasion, they discovered objects and the remains of the ramparts on the west, east and south sides of the fortification which were built in the Early Byzantine period.
