Vesna Maksić i Zoran Stanojević
Two diverse art forms, two poetics, two visual media, two artists – when placed in the same room, willingly or unwillingly, they start a mutual conversation by the means of their artistic creation. When their works are publicly exhibited together, the work of one artist is the answer to the impression of the work of the other. Whether the observer compares them or connects them through subjective association, only the joint exhibitions, at least at first sight, represent the conceptualized interpretations of the authors.
Vesna Maksić was born in 1963. She lives and works in Petrovac na Mlavi. She has been engaged in painting for more than 30 years. Vesna works in the technique of dry pastel, which made her work recognizable. She lived in Stockholm, Stuttgart, and Kuwait for some time. Since 1999, she has been actively exhibiting. She participated in over 60 collective exhibitions and more than 10 international colonies. Vesna is a member of the Association “Milena Pavlović - Barili” from Požarevac, but also a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Petrovac. She is engaged in the design and production of unique artistic jewelry from natural materials.
Zoran Stojanović Pepe was born in 1971, in Majdanpek. He is a mining technician by education. Pepe lives and works in Petrovac na Mlavi. He has been engaged in fine arts since his school days. First, he started drawing with drawing ink, and then in 1995, he changed to three-dimensional media and started making relievos. He experimented with different materials: iron, wood, AAC, and gypsum. During the last years, he exclusively makes sculptures in gypsum and ceramics. Pepe is a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Petrovac. He participated in more than 20 collective exhibitions. In Zaječar in 2014, he held his first individual exhibition.
Being members of the Association of Fine Artists of Petrovac and with a similar artistic sensibility, they became, in a quite spontaneous way, “interlocutors” in the realization of the exhibition. In spite of all the differences and singularities of their artwork that are de facto present, Zoran and Vesna managed to create an atmosphere of goodwill and the same energy in their joint exhibition place.
