Another substantial exhibition was opened for all art lovers in Žagubica. The exhibition displays a cross-sectional design of the period between the ’50s and the ’80s in Yugoslavia, representing the most significant design phenomenon.
The first International Sculpture Art Colony was held at the beginning of August (from the 1st to the 18th of August, 2018) in Žagubica. It was a mutual undertaking of the Native Museum of Homolje and the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, under the sponsorship of the Municipality of Žagubica and the Ministry of Culture and Information.
On the first day of the local convocation, the Native Museum of Homolje in Žagubica organized, inter alia, a short musical program where the visitors had the opportunity to enjoy the performance of the city orchestra from Piotrkow Trybunalski, a fraternal city of Municipality of Žagubica. Furthermore, they enjoyed the performance of Milica Filipović from Žagubica who sang traditional songs, as well as the harmonic instrumentals by Dragan Nikolić, a graduate professor of music.
Being part of the International Art Colony “Homolje ART 2018”, the Native Museum in Žagubica presented the exhibition Distaffs – the Currents of the Serbian Tradition by Vladimir Vučinić. The exhibition was opened on Tuesday, the 22nd of May.
